How did I know it would be figure skating? I woke up in the middle of the night last night, turned on NBC to see what was being replayed, and I saw that. Ridiculously gay.

Here's another from that same gallery: http://www.nbc.com/2010-winter-olympics/ph...ery#item=115447

The funny thing is Johnny Weir isn't open about is sexuality and prefers it remain a mystery.
Dominic
It is pretty gay, but goddamn are they good. The ice would be red if I strapped on some skates and tried to spin around.
rick
Anything that involves men performing dance-ish moves in Olympic competition is gay. This includes gymnastics floor routines and synchronized-swimming. The only thing that saves pairs figure skating is the "no homo" pairs rule. Blades Of Glory be damned.
FalconsFan
I always thought the gayest Olympic sport was the doubles competition of Men's Luge.
rick
That's only ambiguously gay.
aez
So in this age of political correctness, would anything actually prevent a male pairs team?
rick
The lack of international participation ... because they would only be allowed to compete against other male/male pairs.
aez
Oh.
rick
Its the same logic behind no womens ski-jumping in Vancouver. Although I'd imagine you will see womens ski-jumping as an Olympic Game before you see men's pairs figure skating.

There's obviously nothing gay about a dude resting his head on another dude's junk. All guys do that. wink.gif

Evan Lysacek reminds me of a stretched out Trent Reznor, does anyone else see it?

I've heard about 4 different analysts talk about how "flamboyant" he is. You know they want to say, "could that homo be any more of a flamer?" but they can't if they want to keep their jobs.

I also heard how he tries to make each of his routines more flamboyant than the last. At some point the only thing left to do will be to bring a dildo out there on the ice with him...

P.S. These pants are pretty gay!

Not really, gay people care about fashion too much to wear shit like that.

If they were assless chaps, i would agree.
Dean
But if you saw someone walking down the street with a pair of those on would your first thought be "that dude has some bad fashion sense" or "man, that guy is a homo!"

I'd just be thinking that no one wants a roundhouse kick to the face from anyone wearing those pants.

A gay rights activist has called for Channel Nine to sack commentators Eddie McGuire and Mick Molloy over comments made by the duo about the Winter Olympics men's figure skating.

While discussing the competitors' costumes as part of last night's Winter Olympics wrap, Molloy said: "They don't leave anything in the locker room, these blokes, do they?"

McGuire replied: "They don't leave anything in the closet either, do they?"

The long-time Channel Nine personality then described one competitor's costume as "a bit of a brokeback", referencing Ang Lee's film about gay cowboys.

"A bit of Brokeback Mountain exercises - you can't wear that," Molloy responded.

Gay rights activist Gary Burns says the comments have shocked members of the gay community.

"They're harmful to, particularly, gay youth who are living in isolated areas across the nation," he said.

"These young kids look up to [McGuire] and when they hear these kinds of comments and [they're] having issues with their own coming-out process, or low self-esteem or depression... they feel worthless.

"It has caused a lot of angst and discussion within the gay and lesbian community because people can't understand why these comments would be allowed to happen on national television."

Mr Burns says Channel Nine should sack both McGuire and Molloy over the comments.

"What should happen and will happen are two different things," he said.

"Channel Nine should sack both of them because they're not fit to be broadcasters or to be involved in a television network when they use this kind of banter."

Mr Burns says he has referred the matter to the New South Wales Anti-Discrimination Board.

"I have lodged a complaint ... because I believe the comments are capable of inciting ridicule, contempt or hate against homosexual Australians," he said.

"These two men were not out in the backyard having a barbecue with their mates, they're on national television. They've got responsibilities to the broadcaster and to the NSW anti-discrimination act."

Mr Burns has previously brought legal action against radio presenter John Laws, former Victorian premier Jeff Kennett, and last year made a similar complaint to the NSW Anti-Discrimination Board about an NRL Footy Show skit that poked fun at Matthew Johns's fictitious gay brother.

Channel Nine has declined to comment.

Those pants are gay Dean, don't let anyone tell you different. You gotta step back to see what is really happening here, which is that Canadians refuse to let anything negative be said about curling no matter what it is.

I didn't even know Mick Molloy was a commentator, if he wasn't sitting there with Eddie McGuire who I think is an idiot I'd totally watch that.

After considering all the various games, and witnessing Canada win the gold, I can come to only one reasonable conclusion: Hockey is clearly the gayest Olympic sport.
rick
Swimming. Because we can see all your naughty bits. And when you can see Phelps wang, that makes you gayy??
Dean
No. But looking at his nipples does...
