Go see it.
It starts slow, and the beginning is crucial. It sets up the entire motivation for this movie.
A good solid movie. The ending was too abrupt for me. The movie simply builds up, and then ends in a flash. And I'm serious. The ending sucks, but the build up is awesome.
I think every husband and dad will be giving standing ovations at certain points int he movie.
If you REALLY want to know, the killers get their just desserts a good 20 minutes into the movie. The rest is suspense and commentary on the justice system, followed by some of the best dialog (funny and well written).
Also, Gerard can barely speak American English. he's fighting that brit tongue of his throughout the entire movie. But I'm nitpicking here.
And you should be heading out the door already.

Gerard is actually Scottish.
And when I saw the trailer for this film, I couldn't think of anything besides TDK's Joker. Sorry, I'm sure it's a good movie, but PLANS! And INTERROGATION ROOMS.

Actually when I saw the trailer and people getting killed while he was locked up I immediately thought of "Death Note".
But I guess that was my wishful thinking.

I saw this over the weekend. I liked it, but not as much as shiri.
The big problem I had with the movie was that each killing moved slowly from a father/husband seeking justice to an act of anarchy. I think the turning point for me was right after he killed the judge and DA. Everything after that was him trying to 'bring down the system', which I wasn't expecting. I started out cheering every time he killed someone and by the end of it I didn't really give a shit about him.
Oh, and the ending does suck.
I give it six and a half meh's out out ten.

the movie was ok....the so called message he was trying to send the whole time i think was lost half way through the killings. The ending was rushed and almost unbelievable if only because of how smart and detailed he was throughout the whole movie.

Greatest first two acts to a modern thriller film with one of the shittest most lazy ass unresolved unsatisfying third acts to a film ever. And I've SEEN "Fracture"
Great unexplored plot points gone wasted. Had the build up of a great movie souffle that just went splat.
Paid money to watch this. In the end felt I should have just spent the money on a better dinner.
Overcooked. Overpromising. And massively underdelivering. Don't waste your time.
2 out of 4.

I really enjoyed this one despite the ridiculously stupid and unbelieveable last 20 minutes. That wasn't enough to ruin the whole thing for me, though.

Has the slang brit not become synonymous with "residents of England", however?
