We're going to turn the whole 'To Catch A Lurker' into more of a game with scoring. The game will be played in rounds that last one week. At the end of the week, a winner will be declared and all scores will be reset. The winner of each round will receive something useless from Ted. (To be decided soon) The current scores will be kept in this post. Every time a lurker is hunted I will update your score and add the lurker's name to a running list in this thread.

Lurker Hunt Game

How it works:
If you are browsing and spot a lurker that you wish to take out, post their name with a link to their profile and the date they joined in this thread. A mod will then ban said lurker for 14 days, award you points, then add the lurker to the hunted list.

Side note: If the lurker comes back after his 14 day ban and doesn't post an intro, well... lets just say it's not going to be pretty. (My guess is the ole 999 treatment)


There are a few simple rules*:

1. The lurker must have a join date of longer than six months ago.
2. The lurker must have less than 5 posts. If they have posted before, the six month rule starts from their last post - not join date.
3. You can't just pick someone with zero posts and call them out. They must have been on within the past day.
4. You only get one 'shot' per day. That means don't fucking list 20 lurkers in your post. Only one!

Fouls:
- If you list a lurker that has a join date of less than six months ago
- If you list a lurker that actually hasn't been active that day.
- If you list a lurker that has been listed previously. IN THE SAME ROUND
- If you list multiple lurkers in one post.

If you foul, your shot will be considered wasted and you will be awarded no points for the day. I'll also probably ban you for being a dumbass.


Scoring:
Different lurkers are worth a different amount of points. Lurkers with zero posts are worth more.

Zero post lurkers: (see clarification below)
Sign up date is 6 months - 1 Year ago: 10 points
Sign up date is over 1 Year - 2 Years: 20 Points
Sign up date is over 2 years - 3 years: 30 points
Sign up date is over 3 years - 50 points
Previously shot lurkers - 150 points. (We will also be doubling their time off if they are shot twice.)


If the lurker joined within the first week of the boards opening (June 16th - June 22nd 2004) - 100 points

Lurkers who have 1 - 5 posts are worth half the points.


CLARIFICATION
It appears that the board software will show a post count for users even if the posts have been deleted and are gone. Since we must have one standard for the game, starting in Round # 2 we will only recognize the post count showing in the user profile. If it says 1, then 1 it is. Even if the post has been deleted.
