Recently Dominic came across a movie that was hard to find and wanted to know if there could be a place to share it similer to the Albums thread. After running the idea past management this thread is born.
A few rules ... 1. Do a search. Don't put up a movie that is already up unless the link dies. 2. I'm not gonna be policing this but try and keep it to hard to find stuff. Lets avoid, "Hey does anyone have Pirates 3? I cant find it anywhere!" 3. Whenever possible please include the cover art and a brief description (Just copy it from imdb ... it's easy) 4. As with the rest of the site ... no full blown porn. Movies with boobies are fine, recommended even, but keep the bow chicka wow wow to your hard drive. Thats is all for now, go get em! I'm all for this...but how should we upload the file? I download some of the harder to find movies, but I don't have the upload speeds or the time to zip and put it all up on rapid share. Maybe a guideline on how to put up several gigs worth of video would be helpful so you don't have dozens of rapidshare links to download (especially for us poor people with free accounts). Just a suggestion, though. I'm interested to see how this turns out.

Would also be nice if people wanting hard to find movies are able to download torrents and are familiar with that. Its rare that a movie isnt on at least one of the torrent indexing sites.
There are also some sites that do have movies uploaded to sites like rapidshare and others but they are usually split in 10 rar files. And how many people have the patience to wait an hour between downloads unless tehy have an account. The audiobooks thread is tough to do cause those files are big and these ones would even be bigger. --------------------  |

Torrents would be perfect for this...but anyone that knows how to use google can find a torrent. I don't think TJNR wants to get into the torrent hosting business, either. Actually, for a site that does a large amount of downloading of music, torrents seem like a fairly hush-hush topic. Torrents are also easier to track a user down.
Really, you could pick this up at almost any store or bargain bin for under $15. Guys I gotta be honest, I'm just the messenger on this one. I honestly have my doubts that this is gonna work since most people that dl files the size of whole movies know how to use a simple torrent site. The music thread is different in that it doesnt take very long to zip an album, host it and make a post so its not something that people are gonna dedicate alot of time to.
That said I do see this thread as potentially helpfull. I buy most of my dvds and am probably second only to doa in my dvd collection on this site but on occassions where I have exhausted all my options and still cant find a movie I will dl it. A great example of this is Revolver. It was released in England and didnt hit the states for over a year. I went to all sorts of out of the way shops and stuff but eventually I found it online. I dont really know the best way to do the acctual swapping of the files so if all of you folks that do could make suggestions it would be great. -------------------- |

Hard to find movies, eh?...Well, I got an IMPOSSIBLE movie to find...I have looked all over the eMule sites...I have trolled all of the .torrent sites....I got nothing...So, here goes (attn: DOA and Gunslinger-check your DVD collections...This is a classic)...
The Last Angry Man ....A TV movie I believe from 1959 staring a stage god, Paul Muni... Between all of the KP sites that you regs haunt and all of the DVDs you aulds collect...someone has to have heard of this classic BW movie...
