UPDATE 9:40 AM ET: Apparently the deal has been closed, because celebhotline.com has pics of what looks like the video on its site.

Spotted ... "Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester having sex with her BF... on video.

We've learned a Meester tape is being shopped around town. It was shot a few years back, and shows Leighton in mostly innocuous though nude scenes -- with several big exceptions ... one involving her very talented feet.

We're told a company called celebhotline.com is negotiating for the video. The company's spokesperson, Kevin Blatt told us, "We've seen the tape and we're hoping to close the deal."

We contacted Leighton's rep but so far ... no comment.

Leighton Meester is on the cover of this month’s Harper’s Bazaar and in the interview for the magazine talks about the rumored sex tape that appeared in June.

“Sex tape is not real, so it makes me sort of sad. It's unfortunate that it got carried as far as it did.", s the Gossip Girl star said in the interview for the magazine.

The alleged Leighton Meester sex tape surfaced in June and immediately began making the internet rounds. It was supposedly made several years ago, pre-Gossip Girl, and featured Meester, 23, and a former boyfriend. Celeb Hotline bought the tape and posted it on their site. Until now, Meester has had nothing to say about it.
